Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to patients in their homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety
- Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to any dietary restrictions or guidelines
- Support patients with memory care needs, engaging in activities to promote cognitive function
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Follow established care plans and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
Skills:
- Caregiving experience, preferably in a home health or similar setting
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and protocols
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Proficient in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Experience working with patients requiring memory care support
- Basic cooking skills to prepare meals for patients
- Ability to lift and move patients safely, following proper body mechanics
- Knowledge of taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
- Understanding of nursing home procedures and protocols
